802.11g 54Mbps High-Speed Wireless
Most wireless Internet providers in the world currently offer 11Mbps access, which is quite fast. Despite this, many customers simply need a "bigger pipe".

FoxMoxie provides this needed speed, and if you have a SpeedBooster compatible wireless networking adapter, such as a Linksys GS wireless device, your connection can be even faster; Up to 35% faster than plain 802.11g!

Native IPv6 Connectivity

IPv6 is the next-generation Internet protocol, which most Internet providers have been slow to adopt. This is painfully demonstrated in North America, where IPv6 deployment is complete at slightly below 1% of all Internet providers.

IPv6 connectivity comes with an impressive set of advantages over it's grand-father, IPv4, including multi-homing abilities, your own public production IP address, including improved routing for better connections to remote hosts.

Per-Second Accounting

As the name states, FoxMoxie will charge only for time used to access Internet services, and is metered by the second. Utilities are currently under development to allow a user to see their remaining time within an accuracy margin of about 6ms (milliseconds). Okay, perhaps it's overkill, but we take accuracy seriously.

Mobility

I have never found a WISP which allows one to walk between access-points, or drive between them, and receive "cellular telephone"-like service. Everytime I've tried, my downloads drop, my Wi-Fi must reassociate and my computer is assigned an entirely new IP address!

When I ask about it, most WISPs usually scoff and state "Nobody does that."

FoxMoxie will not allow such dastardly events to happen on our network. Your wireless freedom is absolute; You can listen to Internet radio on the metro, as it rides through our network, and not have any service interruption.

WPA Security

WPA is the new standard for securely using your Wireless to access a network. This should be standard, since a wireless connection is otherwise wide-open to eavesdroppers.

Oddly, again, I've never found a WISP who offers this. FoxMoxie to the rescue! WPA, at no charge!

Roaming

Roaming is rather common in the WISP world. You don't have a FoxMoxie account? Or, you do, and you're in Siberia where we don't provide service (yet)? Not a problem, simply visit one of our roaming partner locations:

Once at the location, simply log-in to your account as usual, appending "foxmoxie.com" to your username. Please remember, since it is not a FoxMoxie location, you may not receive all features available, such as IPv6, roaming, WPA, or others.
